The project consists of the demolition and rebuilding of Runway 15/33, and includes field verification of existing conditions; complete review of plans and specifications developed to date, providing finished plans, specifications, cost estimates, and phasing; coordination with CAFB, coordination with FAA, coordination with Charleston County Aviation Authority, and related design issues including but not necessarily limited to the rebuilding of Runway 15/33, completion of taxiway modifications for Taxiway “C” at tie in to runway 15, completion of modifications for Taxiways “A” and “F” at tie in to runway 15/33, related taxiway modifications due to the reduction in runway width, necessary modifications to the lighting vault, airfield lighting control system, arresting gear modifications/installation of new systems, FAA ILS modifications as required, CCAA modifications as required.
