College of Charleston constructed a 39,872 square foot, four-story, steel framed academic building clad with cast stone panels and portland cement plaster. The project also includes a 6,290 square foot renovation to the first floor of an adjoining building and minor work on other floors to connect the buildings. Building elements consist of a steel frame, deep pile foundation system, a four-story triangular monument stair, and a five-story structural glazing wall. Site elements include modified utilities, streetscape improvements with new storm system, sidewalks, ornamental paving, and landscape with irrigation.
