The Gateway Center is an existing facility that required replacement of the existing roof systems. The two roof systems were a plaza deck roof system and garden roof system. The effort to design an environmentally friendly roof replacement included four primary elements: Environmentally Friendly Systems and Materials, Energy Efficient Design, Customized Design, and Maintenance Friendly. The projects helps with reduction in heat reflection off of the roof, good use of limited space, and a reduction in heating and cooling costs of the building.
