The Warrior-in-Transition (WT) Complex was designed to create a private community to assist the wounded warrior and supporting family members in transition. Two four-story barracks arranged with an interior court configuration that is completed by a trellised arcade that helps to screen the courtyard from an adjacent roadway. The courtyard includes a wheelchair obstacle course and basketball court for exercise, a healing garden for contemplation, and the trellised arcade with swings, benches, and rocking chairs for camaraderie. The WT Complex is situated on 15.9 acres, and designed to meet LEED Silver standards.
