Sullivan's Island Elementary School was reconstructed in 2014 to meet modern building codes. Among the challenges that this oceanfront, neighborhood school presented were safety from natural disasters and aesthetics. Wind requirements, salt air and the need for the school to blend in with surrounding homes led Jerry English, principal architect for Cummings & McCrady Architects to choose a coated aluminum roof. ADC's building envelope team is proud to be the roofing consultant for this project.
